JioStar Secures Exclusive India Broadcast Rights for The Hundred 2026, Bringing All 68 Matches to JioHotstar and Star Sports
JioStar has acquired the exclusive linear and digital broadcasting rights for The Hundred 2026 in India from Sony Pictures Networks India. All 68 men's and women's matches will stream on JioHotstar and air on the Star Sports Network, featuring global cricket stars and leading Indian players in the sixth edition of the ECB's 100-ball tournament.
The sixth edition of the England and Wales Cricket Board's (ECB) 100-ball competition begins on July 21 with a double-header at The Oval. The opening day will feature the women's match between MI London and SunRisers Leeds, followed by the men's fixture involving the same teams, marking the start of another highly anticipated season.
The acquisition reinforces JioStar's strategy of expanding its live sports offerings in India by adding another major international cricket tournament to its portfolio. The competition also enters a new phase this season, with several franchises rebranding under new ownership, including MI London, SunRisers Leeds, and Manchester Super Giants.
The men's tournament will feature some of the biggest names in international cricket, including Jos Buttler, Jofra Archer, Rashid Khan, Heinrich Klaasen, Phil Salt, Tim David, David Miller, and Harry Brook. The women's competition will also showcase leading Indian cricketers, including Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Kiran Navgire, Shweta Sehrawat, Asha Sobhana, and Nandani Sharma.
Prashant Khanna, Head of Rights & Innovation for Sports at JioStar, said that The Hundred has established itself as one of the most innovative cricket competitions in the world by bringing together world-class talent in a format designed to entertain existing fans while attracting new audiences. He said JioStar is delighted to bring the tournament exclusively to cricket fans in India across JioHotstar and the Star Sports Network. He added that with both the men's and women's competitions featuring some of the biggest international stars alongside leading Indian players, the company looks forward to expanding The Hundred's following in one of the world's most passionate cricket markets.
